CABIN STEWARD/-ESS

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily cleaning of approximately 18 staterooms
  • Cleaning of public areas, toilets and reception area according to requirements
  • Correct handling of guest laundry
  • Control and distribution of externally cleaned laundry and uniforms
  • Correct and careful handling of all cleaning products, materials and housekeeping equipment
  • Rotating laundry duty
  • Distribution of daily programs, gift orders and turndown services in allocated staterooms
  • Welcoming and escorting guests to their staterooms on embarkation day
  • Checking and reporting technical defects of staterooms to the supervisor / reception
  • Luggage duty on embarkation and disembarkation day
  • Conduction of stock takes; inventory according to company procedures
  • Preparation of opening and closing ships at start and end of season
  • Assistance in other departments upon instruction from supervisors (if required)

  • Graduated education

SOUS CHEF

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Professional preparation and distribution of daily meals (including breakfast, lunch, Tea Time, dinner, etc.) for crew and guests in accordance with Executive Chef Manual and menu cycle
  • Replacement of Executive Chef in absence
  • Assistance in supervising, training and motivating of galley team
  • Ordering of stock in cooperation with Executive Chef
  • Ensuring perfect order and cleanliness in accordance with HACCP rules
  • Cost control for galley within the budget in cooperation with Executive Chef
  • Separation and disposal of waste / garbage
  • Ensuring correct handling of all equipment and products
  • Conduction of stock takes; inventory according to company procedures
  • Preparation of opening and closing ships at start and end of season
  • Assistance in other departments upon instruction from supervisors (if required)

  • Management of reception area at night (including ship security)
  • Processing onboard sales in cooperation with Bar Chef and Restaurant Manager
  • Execution of all administrative duties according to company standards (daily / per cruise / monthly)
  • Preparation and execution of a smooth check-in and check-out
  • Controlling of all guest checks and upkeep of the internal bookkeeping system
  • Controlling and entering of guest checks into the Protel system
  • Preparation of Night Auditor report
  • Correct handling of all Reception equipment
  • Control of VAT in accordance with national VAT table regulations
  • Handling of internal debtor files, cost control
  • Handling and preparation of Customs Regulations
  • Providing general administrative support for the Receptionist and Hotel Manager
